Man falls down 25 foot escalator in the “T” Trolley Station on Wood Street in Pittsburgh.
An unidentified man in his 40's falls down an escalator as witnesses say he was running to get the trolley. The witness did not wanted to be identified said “I heard several bangs and they were loud. Then I seen him laying on the bottom of the escalator”. A Port Authority policeman talked to and took care of the fallen man until medics arrived. Within minutes Pittsburgh’s first responders were on seen. Pittsburgh’s medics and first responders from Engine Company 3 took care of the unidentified man who fell down the escalator. There is no more information on the man who fell after being taken to the hospital.
When riding an escalator you should hold on to the rails especially when running and you should not be running on the escalator either way. Without reports from police or medics and the only witness not wanting to be identified these are the facts I collected from the scene at the time of the incident. So until police release statement this is all the Intel I received.
